Canvey Island Town Council held a Wildlife Picnic at Tewkes Creek picnic area on Wednesday 21st August 2024, providing free activities, craft and giveaways. The weather was beautiful, and there were many adults and children joining in the fun and enjoying the day.
Town Mayor Cllr Peter May said “The event went brilliantly, and I am very happy that so many people turned out to support the event and we were lucky to have great weather. It was nice to see so many families enjoying picnics. Thank you to everyone who helped to make the event such a success.”
The Town Council would like to thank all of the groups and individuals who joined and helped out at the event, Yellow door, Bugs Life, ACL and Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service.
