Community Day

COMMUNITY DAY EVENT

The Town Council, working in partnership with Essex County Council held its’ annual Community Day, on Friday 1^st September 2023. The day bought together organisations from all aspects of the community including, Essex Police, Fire, NHS and voluntary organisations. There were stalls in the area in front of Canvey Library, as well as a vintage bus, a performance from Canvey Community Choir and rescue tawny owls. Inside of Canvey Library there were opportunities for children’s activities as well as more community organisations.

Town Mayor Cllr Elaine Harvey said “It was a great event, and what a wonderful opportunity for so many community organisations to come together and showcase what they offer.”
