Essex County Council Broadband Survey

It’s time to have your say in Essex County Council’s Broadband Survey, which gives you the chance to register your demand for faster broadband. By taking part, you’ll help Superfast Essex identify whether your address is eligible to be included in future state-funded broadband rollouts.

To date, the Superfast Essex programme has reached almost 140,000 homes and businesses across the county with superfast and ultrafast broadband connectivity – but they don’t want to stop there! You can find the survey and further information here:   Consultation ends 19th April 2021.

Castle Point Borough Council Corporate Plan Consultation

Canvey Big Local would like to turn the Gunny Site off Cedar Road into a vibrant community park and enhance its a rich heritage.

The ideas for the park currently include a new small community building to provide a space for community groups to enjoy café facilities, a workshop and toilet. Improving hard paving and adding new paths to provide access across the site for all visitors. New features such a fitness gym and play equipment. Seating areas for people to sit and enjoy the space. New planting, a small wetland area and wildflower meadows to add seasonal interest, all together improving biodiversity and wildlife. A mural telling the story of the site and its rich history and covering the dull wall of the electric station.  The plan also includes improved security gates and fences around the site

We are also hoping Trust Links will build and run a therapeutic gardening project. Growing Together provides horticultural training, support, work experience and a chance for people to meet with others in a safe and supportive environment. The Growing Together project improves mental health, wellbeing, physical health and builds social networks and community.

We would like to know what the community thinks of this idea and are asking everyone to complete our survey.
