SAVE THE BEES

Canvey Island Town Council is helping to save bumblebees and pollinators by joining in The Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s Save The Bee’s Campaign! The Town Council is reaching out to residents, asking them to plant sunflowers in an effort to help. Sunflower seeds have already been distributed to primary schools on Canvey Island and seeds are available for residents to collect from the Town Council offices and from Canvey Library. There will also be a stand at the Town Council’s Armed Forces Day event on Saturday 24th June – where you can find out more information on how to cultivate your garden to help Save the Bees!

The Town Council will be updating this page with regular updates on how the campaign is running and look forward to seeing residents efforts in creating bee friendly spaces!

More information regarding the campaign as well as educational resources can be found on The Bumblebee Conservation Trust's website or contact admin@canveyisland-tc.gov.uk
