Christmas Shopfront Competition
Canvey Island Town Council hosts a new shopfront competition
Canvey Island Town Council recently held a shopfront competition and invited local shops to show their talent and creativity.
The high standard of the entries made judging a difficult task for the panel, which included the Town Mayor, Cllr Sheridan Sayes and Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Sue Brooke. The winner of the competition was Cherish Beauty, who hand made a life-sized snowman that stands proudly in the window and thoroughly impressed us all, well done.
Town Mayor, Cllr Sheridan Sayes said “We were very impressed with the effort and creativity of entries this year, and I was blown away by the enthusiasm of everyone who took part. It was wonderful to visit all the shops and meet the talented individuals and see the work in person.
The Town Council would like to thank everyone that entered the competition, it was a wonderful selection of entries. We are very proud to have such talent and support within the community.
