Public invited to share ideas for Canvey priorities
Canvey Island Town Council is launching a public consultation to gather local views on what is important for the future of Canvey Island.
Its annual budget will be set later in the year, and the council wants to make sure its spending plans are in line with community priorities.
Everyone who lives, works or visits Canvey Island will be invited to share ideas on the council’s services and facilities including its open spaces, allotments, blue plaques, community outreach and educational projects, as well as the events programme.

Town Mayor, Councillor Sheridan Sayes said:
“Canvey Island Town Council delivers valuable local services, and we want to respond to what our communities would like to see. Over the upcoming weeks, we will be out and about asking people to share their priorities and fresh ideas.
“We’re particularly keen to explore volunteering, community conservations and activities for all residents.”
An online survey will be live until midnight Friday 7th November for everyone to complete. If anyone would like the survey in an accessible format, contact admin@canveyisland-tc.gov.uk for details.
