Castle Point Design Code Community Consultation Survey

Castle Point Borough Council are currently consulting on a district wide Design Code for the Borough. A Design Code is a set of simple, concise, illustrated design requirements for the physical development of a site or area to reflect local character and design preferences. Good design codes can be a useful tool for designers, developers, applicants, and local authorities to assist in the delivery of high-quality places.

It would therefore like to know what local people think about design in the Borough, and understand what areas and features are particularly important to the local community. This will help it understand how to improve the look, feel, and functionality of the borough as it formulates the Design Code. The Code will create certainty for the community and the local planning authority with the expectations of new development.  

It is seeking your feedback by inviting you to take part in this short survey using the online link below which should only take a few minutes of your time. Responses should be submitted by the 7^th April 2024.
