Canvey Island Charity Garden Trail

Canvey Island Charity Garden Trail

Canvey Island Town Council is starting to organise its annual charity Garden Trail on Saturday, 24th July 2021.  In addition to giving people ideas and advice for their own gardens, the event raises money for great causes, promotes well-being and encourages a ‘green fingered’ community spirit.

Canvey Island gardeners raised a fantastic sum of £1013.50 at the last garden trail in 2019, which was donated to the Canvey Island Heritage Centre. This year any money raised will be donated to Phoenix Club for the Disabled

The Town Council is inviting local gardeners to get involved.  If you would like to participate, please contact the Community and Events Officer or see the Town Council’s website for an entry form.   The Garden Trail is not just restricted to flowers and plants – for example you may have a vegetable garden that you would like to show others.  The Town Council is encouraging not only individuals to get involved but also community groups or schools with a nice garden. Maybe a shared garden with others for example in a flat or sheltered accommodation that residents have worked hard to have looking its best.

Applications are being sought, however, please note that due to the current circumstances with Covid-19 (coronavirus) the running of the garden trail will be reviewed and is subject to cancellation if necessary.
