Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas event on Saturday. We had hundreds of people during the day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thank you to all of the local individuals and groups who took part showcasing their talents on stage during the afternoon.
It was a good partnership working event. Thank you to Canvey Library for putting on great activities for the children during the afternoon. Thank you to Images Youth Club for providing refreshments to volunteers and a changing area to performers. Thank you to the Fire Service for providing a fire engine and crew. Thank you to Castle Point Transport Museum for bringing a vehicle and volunteers down to our event.
Canvey Island Town Council would like to extend a particular thank you to those who supported us as follows:

· Island Boys and Girls Football Club for the loan of the reindeer and snowman costumes
· Knightswick Shopping Centre for supporting Canvey Island Town Council with the event
· Pinnacle for their help in setting up the two Christmas trees in the town centre and providing clean up equipment which was used after the event
· The Canvey Supply Company Ltd who provided a hoist vehicle to lift the Christmas trees into position

· Castle Point Security for providing security volunteers at our event
· Marie Curie and News for You for providing the power source for the Christmas lights on the shops in the town centre
