Essex County Council have given one tonne of winter salt to Canvey Island Town Council at no cost to help us respond to the needs of the local community during periods of heavy snow.
We are keen to identify areas within the community that would need access during periods of heavy snow, which would not be treated by Essex County Council, however the salt is for use on the public highway only.
